Golf Finishes Second at City 6

HUNTINGDON Valley, Pa. – Temple Golf ended the fall season with a second place finish at the 2019 City 6 Saturday. The one-day, 18-hole City 6 tournament was played under cold and windy conditions at the 6,876-yard, Par-70 Huntingdon Valley Country Club.
Recapping the Day
> Sophomore Conor McGrath and freshman Graham Chase led the Owls with two over 73s. The duo tied for third overall among the 30 golfer field.
> Junior Dawson Anders and freshman Danny Nguyen were the other two scorers for Temple, each carding 77s to tie for ninth overall.
> Seniors Aaron Tobin (78) and Liam McGrath (82) rounded out the six-man Owl squad.
The Field
> Drexel won the championship, carding a 10-over 290. Temple (300) was 10 strokes back in second place and the Owls were followed by La Salle (306), Saint Joseph's (309) and Villanova (316).
> Drexel's Connor Schmidt shot a one-under 69, besting his teammate Jeffrey Cunningham (70) by one stroke.
