Mackins Named AAC Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore guard Marissa Mackins was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after leading the Owls in Monday night's thriller at La Salle.
Mackins dropped a career-high 28 points to lead all scorers in Temple's 72-69 Big 5 win over La Salle on Monday. Mackins connected on a career-high seven 3-pointers as part of a 10-of-22 performance from the field. Mackins added five rebounds, three assists and a steal as the Owls rose to 7-6 on the season.
Next up, the Owls travel to Tulsa, Okla. to take on the Golden Hurricane on Jan. 4 at 3 p.m. in their second conference matchup of the season.Â
