Ariana Castrence Named ECAC Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA—Gymnastics' Ariana Castrence has been named ECAC Rookie of the Week for her outstanding performance in last weekend's dual meet against Southern Utah.
The Waldorf, Md. native placed second in the all-around competition with a 39.000. Castrence posted a 9.7 on vault, 9.725 on bars, 9.8 on beam and 9.775 on floor to earn her second-highest all-around score of the season. Castrence's marks on beam and bars were team-highs. This is her second ECAC weekly honor, as she was named Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 15.
Temple will be back home in McGonigle Hall for the second time this season on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. The Owls will welcome Bridgeport and Ursinus for the Ken Anderson Invitational.
