NEWARK, N.J. - The seventh-ranked Temple fencing team (21-7) dominated its three opponents at the NJIT Invitational on Saturday, defeating the host Highlanders along with Wagner and Stevens.Â
Meet Results
> Temple started the day with a 22-5 win over Stevens, getting a 9-0 result from sabre and an 8-1 performance from foil.
> In a 26-1 win over Wagner, both epee and sabre went 9-0.
> To cap the day, the Owls beat NJIT 19-8 with 8-1 wins by both foil and sabre.
Individual Highlights
> Sophomore Megan Ross led the foil team at a perfect 7-0, while junior Kennedy Lovelace was 5-0.
> For the sabre team, sophomore Eva Hinds went undefeated at 8-0, with senior Blessing Olaode and junior Malia Hee both finishing 3-0 and junior Kerry Plunkett at 2-0.
> Senior Fiona Fong led the epee squad with a record of 6-2.
