Women’s Tennis Heads to Georgetown Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA—Temple women's tennis (7-3, 0-1 AAC) is set to compete against Georgetown (2-9, 1-3 Big East ) on Tuesday, March 12. The Owls will take on the Hoyas at 9 a.m. at the Junior Tennis Champions Center.
The Owls
> The team is led by head coach Steve Mauro, who is in his 11th year at the helm of the women's program.
> Last time out, Temple battled tough against conference foe UConn (2-7, 1-1 AAC) on Saturday, March 9, falling to the Huskies, 4-3. Ruoyu Chen, Oleksandra Doroshenko and Yining Tian picked up singles wins for the Owls. Chen outlasted her opponent in a three-set contest at first singles to improve to 6-2 on the season. Doroshenko defeated her opponent at fifth singles and Tian came out on top in the No. 6 spot. Tian is an undefeated 6-0 this season.
Scouting Georgetown
> Georgetown is led by Courtney Dolehide, who is in her first year as head coach of the Hoyas.
> The Hoyas are 2-9, with their two wins coming against Butler and Longwood. The squad has dropped its last five matches.
> Georgetown last competed on Monday, March 4 at Lynn University. The Hoyas were blanked by the Knights, 7-0.
