COLLEGE PARK, Md.—Temple women's tennis (8-3, 0-1 AAC) competed against Georgetown Tuesday morning, defeating the Hoyas, 6-1.

> The Owls had the advantage from the start, sweeping all three doubles contests to earn the doubles point. With the victory at first doubles, the team of Ruoyu Chen and Chunan Xiang improved to 6-3 on the season. Alice Patch and Oyku Boz moved to an impressive 7-2 this season with their win at second doubles.
> Temple dominated singles as well, winning all but one match.
> Georgetown earned its only point of the morning at second singles to even the score at 1-1.
> The Owls responded with two victories in straight sets from Xiang in the No. 3 spot and Oleksandra Dorsoshenko in the No. 4 spot.
> Chen battled through three sets, edging her Hoya opponent 6-4, 2-6, 10-6.
