PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple lightweight crew team hosted strong competition in a pair of races on Saturday morning on the Schuylkill. The Owls competed against Penn, MIT, and Delaware on the 2,000-meter course.

Lightweight Eight
> Temple took third of four boats, clocking in with a time of 6:12.2.
> The Owls finished ahead of MIT's 6:12.8, coming in behind Penn (5:56.0) and Delaware (5:59.5).

Second Lightweight Eight
> Temple opened the day with a third place finish in the second lightweight eight race.
> The Owls finished five seconds ahead of MIT (6:20.4 to 6:25.9), but trailed behind Penn (6:00.5) and Delaware (6:09.9).
