Women’s Tennis Drops Tight Contest to UConn

MANCHESTER, Conn.—Temple women's tennis (7-3, 0-1 AAC) battled tough against conference foe UConn (2-7, 1-1 AAC) on Saturday morning, falling to the Huskies, 4-3.

> UConn won the doubles point with wins at first and second doubles.
> The Huskies held a 4-0 advantage after victories at fourth, third and second singles, clinching the match.
> Temple finished out the contest strong, earning wins in the remaining singles matches. Ruoyu Chen outlasted her opponent in a three-set contest at first singles to improve to 6-2 on the season. Oleksandra Doroshenko defeated her opponent at fifth singles and Yining Tian came out on top in the No. 6 spot. Tian is an undefeated 5-0 this season.
