Owl Club's Ted DeLapp Honored with F. Eugene Dixon, Jr. Inspiration Award

PHILADELPHIA -- Longtime Temple Owl Club member, Ted DeLapp, CLA '71, will be presented with the Temple University Alumni Association's F. Eugene Dixon Inspiration Award at the athletic department's student-athlete awards ceremony, The Stellas: Celebration of Champions, on Sunday, April 28.
"Ted embodies the Temple spirit," said Pat Marion, Owl Club President. "He wears his love for Temple on his sleeve and is a true historian of Temple football. It doesn't matter if the team is 7 and 0 or 0 and 7 Ted will always be there supporting the Owls."
The award honors those exceptional alumni/ae and friends of the athletics programs of Temple who believe in the importance of athletics in the development of students as individuals and citizens; and who evidence a commitment in both their professional and private lives to the advancement of athletics. Honorees have actively and effectively promoted athletics through loyal support and valued patronage of the intercollegiate athletic teams of the University and, more importantly, the growth and development of individual student athletes. Through such commitments, they have proven an inspiration to others in their interest and support of athletics at Temple University.
