PHILADELPHIA – The Temple field hockey capped its weekend with a 3-2 win over cross-town foe Drexel Sunday afternoon, splitting the weekend 1-1. With the win the team improves to 4-2 on the season, doubling its win-total from last season after just four weekends of competition. Sophomore Claire Thomas scored the game-winner for the Owls, recording her second of the season to tie for first on the team.

Recapping the Game
> The Owls were quick to get on the board, with Dani Batze giving Temple an early lead.
> The Dragons evened the match heading into halftime, but Temple came out of the break hot and took back the lead halfway through the third quarter.
> Thomas gave the Owls insurance at the end of the third quarter, with Drexel cutting the lead to just one goal at the 50 minute mark.
> The win is the 19th for the Owls in series history against the Dragons.

> The Dragons outshot the Owls 18-7, with keeper Cristina Carotenuto coming in clutch for Temple. For the second-straight game, the junior recorded four saves in the cage.
