Davis Earns Third-Straight Big 5 Player of the Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA – Junior forward Mia Davis was named the Big 5 Player of the Week for the third-straight week after collecting a pair of double-doubles in the Owls' 1-1 week. Davis also earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.Â
This marks the fourth Big 5 honor for Davis this season and the sixth for Temple women's basketball.Â
Davis averaged 21.5 points and 12.5 rebounds as Temple finished the week 1-1. The junior collected 20 points, 14 rebounds, two steals and two assists against Penn to lead Temple to their first Big 5 title since 2017. At Cincinnati, Davis registered her third straight double-double with game-highs of 23 points and 11 rebounds.Â
Up next, the Owls host UCF on Wednesday, Jan. 29 in McGonigle Hall at 7 p.m.
