Russo Named to Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List

PHILADELPHIA – The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation along with presenting sponsor of this prestigious Golden Arm Award, A.O. Smith, announced today that Anthony Russo has been added to the 2020 Golden Arm Award Watch List.
Russo has enjoyed a bright start to the season, through two games, the redshirt junior has completed 70.7% of his passes to go along with 476 passing yards and five touchdowns. Additionally, the native of Doylestown, Pa. has picked up 33 more yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns.
The Golden Arm Award is presented annually to the top upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation and A. O. Smith. The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the distinguished Golden Arm Award Selection Committee, a group of prominent football journalists, former coaches and players, general managers, commentators, announcers, and other former award recipients.
Russo joins the watch list alongside 47 other members around the nation and three other quarterbacks from the American Athletic Conference. The winner will be announced on December 21, 2020.
