PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball team won its second straight game, topping visiting Tulsa, 69-52, in American Athletic Conference action on Wednesday in Philadelphia. The win lifts the Owls to 2-0 in conference play, 2-3 overall, while Tulsa falls to 1-2, 0-2 in the AAC.

How It Happened
> Temple's offense didn't click until the second half, but the Owls stayed within a few points of Tulsa through the first two quarters.
> The Owls created separation on the third, outscoring the Hurricane 17-10, taking a five point edge into the fourth.
> The final frame was all Temple, as the Owls ended with a 22-10 advantage, finishing out the 17-point victory.
> Temple held Tulsa to just 30% shooting, while the Owls shot 55% from the field.
> The Owls also held a 41-29 rebounding edge, working around 23 turnovers.

Statistically Speaking
> Junior Alexa Williamson had a career day, pouring in a collegiate-best 20 points to lead all scorers. She added five boards and a pair of assists to her total.
> Senior Mia Davis notched her second-straight double-double, finishing with 17 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

> Temple fell behind 4-0, but back-to-back buckets from Mia Davis keyed a 10-4 run, giving the Owls a 10-8 lead with four minutes to play.
> The teams traded leads four times down the stretch, but it was Tulsa with a one point edge after 10.

Second Quarter: Tulsa 32, Temple 30
> Though Temple tied the score early, Tulsa led by three with seven minutes remaining.
> The Owls responded with a 5-2 run to take a 23-20 lead, but again Tulsa answered, holding a two point edge going into the locker room.

Third Quarter: Temple 47, Tulsa 42
> A 9-0 run start to the third gave Temple it's largest lead of the game at 39-32 with 7:30 on the clock.
> Tulsa used back-to-back threes to key a run of their own, to go up 40-39 midway through the period.
> Six straight points from Williamson then provided a spark for the Owls, as Temple closed the quarter on an 8-2 run to lead 47-42.

Fourth Quarter: Temple 69, Tulsa 52
> Williamson continued her tear into the fourth, adding six more points as Temple opened with an 8-2 run to push the lead to 55-44 with 7:36 left.
> After a Tulsa three, triples from Emani Mayo and Clinton started another Owls' run, as Temple went up 65-49 with under three minutes to play.
> Tulsa was unable to get any closer as Temple finished up its second-straight win.
