Lacrosse Hosts Rutgers for "Cause Day"

PHILADELPHIA - After opening the season with a victory, the Temple lacrosse team will host Rutgers Wednesday at 3 p.m. for mid-week action. The Owls will be celebrating the Fourth-Annual "Cause Day," with each member of the team dedicating the game to an organization that's meaningful to them in some way.
Scouting Temple
> The Owls earned a 17-8 victory in their season opener against George Washington last weekend.
> Olivia Thompson scored a game-high four goals, while Maddie Gebert scored three. Ten Owls scored against the Colonials, with four scoring at least two. Freshmen Riley McGowan and Charessa Crosse each scored in their first game on Broad Street.
> Temple outshot GW 35-27, putting 29 on goal.
> All three keepers saw minutes, with Maryn Lowell, Olivia Martin, and Eryn Beal recording a combined 14 saves.
