Brooks Named ECAC Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA—Gymnastics' Madison Brooks has garnered ECAC Rookie of the Week honors following her standout performance in last week's competition against Bowling Green and Illinois State.
Brooks was a key contributor for the Cherry and White on Saturday. The Gainesville, Fla. native competed on vault, bars and beam for Temple. Brooks was superb on vault, posting a 9.7 on the event. The freshman earned a 9.65 on bars and tied for the team-high on beam with an outstanding 9.7.
The Owls return to competition in Philadelphia on Friday, Feb. 21 as Temple will compete in the Pink Invite against Illinois State, Southern Connecticut, Ursinus and West Chester at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The meet is set to begin at 6 p.m..
