Men's Soccer Announces 2020 Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA -- After a successful fall season that brought the program to new heights, the Temple men's soccer team is eager to return to the pitch for a competitive spring slate. The Owls' 2020 spring schedule will feature five challenging exhibition contests against one USL and four NCAA opponents, three of which will be played Temple Sports Complex.
"The spring season is a very important piece of our team development, and our goal with this schedule is to continue to push our team with new challenges," said head coach Brian Rowland. "We had a great spring season in 2019, and that propelled us into the summer and fall season, so this will be the same approach for 2020. We return a great core group of players who have helped us take some very big steps these past two seasons, so we are confident that we can continue push to new performance levels, as well as continue shaping the culture of our program."
The Owls will debut their spring schedule on Saturday, February 15th when they take on Loudoun United FC. Kickoff against their USL opponent is set for 2:30 p.m. at Segra Field. The squad will then take a five-week hiatus from competition before traveling to Annapolis, Maryland to face the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, March 21st. Wrapping up the road portion of their spring slate, kickoff against their Patriot League opponent is set for 2:00 p.m.
A week later, the Owls will return to the Temple Sports Complex for the first time since November to begin a three-game homestand. On Saturday, March 28th, Temple will host Loyola Maryland at 5 p.m. under the lights at the TSC. The following weekend, the Cherry and White will return to their home turf to host Penn State for an 11 a.m. kickoff. To conclude competition for the spring season, the Owls will host Drexel on April 18th in a 6 p.m. contest.
