Dawson Anders Ties for Fifth at Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. – Junior captain Dawson Anders had a tremendous final round for Temple, shooting a three-under 67 to tie for fifth at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday. The Owls placed 10th in the 15-team tournament which was held at the Palmetto Golf Club's par-70, 6,617-yard course.
Recapping the Day
> Anders was two over par after five holes before catching fire. He would birdie six of the final 13 holes, including four of five at one stretch. Overall he shot a two-under 208 for his best three-round tournament of his career. The 67 round ties his season best and is two strokes off his career mark, a 65 set at the 2018 Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
> Freshman Graham Chase was next for the Owls, shooting a three-over 73 for his final round. For the tournament, he tied for 36th with a 12-over 222.
> Sophomore Conor McGrath carded a second straight round of 74, placing third overall for Temple and tied for 50th among the 75 golfers in the field.
> Sophomore Anthony Barr and senior Liam McGrath rounded out the Temple five in 64th and 69th places, respectively.
The Field
> Clemson had the top three golfers on the day and won the team title by 16 strokes over runner-up Virginia.
> Clemson's Jacob Bridgeman (198, -12) shot a five-under 65, his third under-par round of the tournament, to defeat teammate Turk Pettit (202, -8) by four strokes.
