On the academic side, the economics major was named to the 2019 Trustee Ten and was the recipient the prestigious Elite 90 award for the 2020 NCAA Division I Women's Track and Field Championship after qualifying with a 3.98 GPA.
Owlsports.com caught up with Howard to reflect on her four years in Cherry and White.
In the book of your life, what’s the title of the Temple chapter? In the book of my life, the title of the Temple chapter would be "Sore Legs, Happy Heart."

What’s the best part about being a member of the track and field team at Temple/what will you miss the most? The best part about being a part of the Temple track and field team is our amazing coaching staff and the tight-knit atmosphere of the team. We are all such close friends and we truly always race for one another as much as we do ourselves, which has been a really special experience.

What is your favorite memory of being a student-athlete at Temple? My favorite memory is winning the distance medley relay and sweeping the podium in the 800m at the 2020 American Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. I will miss starting every day with a lovely run alongside my best friends.

If you could give advice to your freshman year self, what would it be? My advice to myself as a freshman would be to relax and enjoy it, because the more you relax, the more fun you will have and then the results will follow!

Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years, I see myself working in the international development field. I look forward to starting my business plan for opening my own fitness studio to serve less economically developed communities.

I would like to thank Coach Forde for all of his support throughout everything, Beth Ward for saving me through some of the toughest times and helping mend my foot, TDS for encouraging my high maintenance attitude, Nick Plack for being the GOAT and Billy Kerr for helping me through this season. My biggest thank you goes to Coach Snyder for always believing in me when I didn't believe in myself, and for being such an amazing coach.Millie Howard, Temple Track and Field Class of 2020
