Women’s Basketball Adds Two to 2020-21 Roster

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's basketball head coach Tonya Cardoza has announced the signing of two talented players to join the Owls for the 2020-21 season. The signees include Keishmy Ayuso and Jada Graves.
Keishmy Ayuso is a 5-6 point guard from West Palm Beach, Fla. Ayuso led her Palm Beach Lakes High School team to a state semifinal appearance as she averaged 18 points, five rebounds and five assists per game. She capped off her impressive senior year as the Palm Beach 7A-6A Sun Sentinel Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Ayuso intends to major in Criminal Justice at Temple.
"Keishmy is a very skilled guard who can score the ball on all three levels," said Cardoza. "She is a tremendous passer and has the innate ability to make those around her better. We are thrilled to add Keishmy to our family."
Jada Graves arrives on Broad Street as a graduate transfer from Elon University. The Alexandria, Va. native averaged 5.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals during her time with the Phoenix. Graves had an impressive sophomore season, where she was named the 2017-18 Colonial Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year with her conference-best 2.5 steals per game. The 5-9 guard unfortunately had to sit out the following season due to an injury she sustained during the first game of the year. Graves then finished her senior season leading Elon and ranking fourth in the conference with 58 steals. An honor roll student, Graves will be pursuing her Masters in Business Administration at Temple.
"Jada brings college basketball experience and maturity," expressed Cardoza. "She is an outstanding defender who thrives on the defensive end of the floor. She was previously named the Defensive Player of the Year in her former conference. We look forward to her bringing her passion, leadership and defensive mindset to our family."
Ayuso and Graves join Aniya Matthews and Jasha Clinton as the Owls' newcomers for the 2020-21 season.
