2020 TUG Awards: Most Supportive Teammate

The 2020 Most Supportive Teammate is Monica Servidio!

Hailing from Howell, N.J., there were high expectations for Servidio heading into the season. As a sophomore, she set Temple's All-Around program record, and had four total All-ECAC awards in her career. However, after years of injuries, she made the tough but necessary decision to retire from the sport of gymnastics before her junior year. Despite not competing for the Owls this season, Servidio was an integral part of the team, shining in her new role with gymnastics.

This year is not the year we all had planned for Monica, going from the all around leader last year and breaking records to having an untimely career end is extremely tough on any athlete. She could have let that get to her. But she stepped up in a big way, and helped her teammates any chance she could. She is selfless, and when she is not around her absence is felt. We are pleased to announce Monica as this year's Most Supportive Teammate.
