PHILADELPHIA -- Nine members of the Temple women's rowing team were honored by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) with Scholar Athlete Awards, announced this week. This is the second straight year that the Owls have had nine student-athletes honored with the national award.

Juniors Catherine Pazderski, and Elaine Tierney are both making their second appearances on the academic list. Juniors Gabby DiMarco, Katie Kelly and Kadeynn McInnis are joined by sophomores Meghan Arters, Nadia Bangura, Lauren Phongphachone, and Morgan Simpson with their first awards.

To be eligible for the 2020 CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honor, student-athletes were required to have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility, and be ranked performance-wise in the top 50% of their team, or in the "NCAA Squad" (whichever is smaller) at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
