Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Sign Dominyka Petraškaite

PHILADELPHIA – Temple head cross country coach James Snyder announced the signing of Dominyka Petraškaite. The Alytus, Lithuania native will run both cross country and track and field for the Cherry and White.

Petraškaite has represented Lithuania on multiple occasions in international competition, both on the track and in cross country. She has made two appearances at the European Junior Cross Country Championships in both 2018 and 2019, finishing in the top 100 each time. On the track, she qualified for the 2018 European U18 Championships in the 800m with her personal-best time of 2:12.74. Petraškaite is also the 2020 Lithuanian Youth Indoor 800m champion and the 2016 Lithuanian U18 3000m champion.

Dominyka is a talented middle-distance runner who will be a great addition to our program. She has international competitive experience as one of the top U20 athletes in Lithuania and we cannot wait for her to join the rest of our team in Philadelphia this year.

An honors student, Petraškaite plans on majoring in biology when she arrives on Broad Street.
