Golf Back to Work Sunday at Matthews Auto Collegiate

Apalachin, N.Y. – After a 13-day break, Temple Golf returns to competition Sunday to compete in the Matthews Auto Collegiate hosted by Binghamton University. It will be a two-day, 36-hole 12-team tournament held at the 7,159-yard, par-72 Links of Hiawatha course.
Previewing the Tournament
> Conor McGrath, who has finished second in each of the Owls' first two tournaments, leads the Owls with a 68.4 stroke per round average. He set two school records at the season-opening GolfWeek Fall Classic with a 13-under 203.
> True freshman Ethan Whitney, who has the lowest round (66) of the season by an Owl, ranking second on the team with a 70.6 stroke per round average.
> Dawson Anders is third for the Owls with a 72.4 stroke average and is followed closely by Graham Chase (72.6).
> Joey Morganti (74.4) rounds out the Temple five.
> Buddy Hansen (78.0) and Andrew Curran (yet to play this season) will be competing as individuals.
The Field
> Besides Temple and host Binghamton, 10 teams will compete in the Matthews Auto Collegiate: Canisius, Colgate, Cornell, Dartmouth, Hamilton, La Salle, Monmouth, Mt. St. Mary's, Niagara and Saint Joseph's.
> Temple is paired with Cornell and Dartmouth and tees off at 11 a.m. from hole one.
