Golf to Open Play at Visit Stockton Invitational Thursday

Stockton, Calif. – Temple Golf, which has posted top six finishes in each fall tournament, will take part in the 15-team Visit Stockton Invitational hosted by the University of the Pacific. The tournament will be a three-day, 54-hole event starting on Thursday, October 21 at the 6,566-yard, par-71 Stockton Golf and Country Club.
Previewing the Tournament
> Conor McGrath, who was named American Athletic Conference Co-Golfer of the Month for September, is off to the best start by any Temple golfer in school history. He owns a team-best 69.6 stroke average and has been par or under in eight of the 10 rounds this season.
> Graham Chase, who led the Owls with a five-under 208 at the Phoenix Invitational, is second on the team with a 71.8 stroke average.
> Ethan Whitney (72.1) and Dawson Anders (72.3) are also having strong seasons for the Cherry and White while Buddy Hansen (74.7) is making his first start of the season.
The Field
> Temple and host Pacific will be joined by BYU, Cal Baptist, CSUN, Dixie State, Fresno State, Sacramento State, San Jose State, St. Mary's (CA), UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UCSB, Utah and Washington State
> The Owls are grouped with UC Irvine and Cal Baptist and will tee off from hole one at 10:45 ET.
