Conor McGrath Named AAC Co-Golfer of the Month for September

PHILADELPHIA – Temple junior Conor McGrath has been named the American Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Month for the month of September.
McGrath led Temple with a 68.40 stroke average during the team's first two tournaments. In the Owls' first outing, the GolfWeek Fall Classic (9/12-14), he set school records with 13-under par and a 203 (67-68-68) score in placing second among the 93-player field. His phenomenal play helped Temple to a fourth place showing among the 18-team field.
At the Cornell Invitational (9/19-20), McGrath shot a three-under 139 (68-71) to tie for second (68 golfers) in leading Temple to the team championship of the 12-team Cornell tournament.
The Huntingdon Valley, Pa. native currently averages 69.1 strokes per average after finishing tied for ninth at the Matthews Auto Collegiate on Oct. 3-4.
