Men’s Soccer to Face Off Against Princeton

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team faces off against Ivy League opponent Princeton Wednesday night. The 7 p.m. match will be streamed live on ESPN+. Attendance is free to all fans.

LAST TIME OUT: NO. 12 SMU 1, @ TEMPLE 0
> Temple played a strong match against No. 12 SMU Sunday night.
> The Owls were competitive throughout the match, with several chances to take the lead and later tie the match.
> Keeper Liam Cummings had his best game since taking over as starter. He made six saves on seven shots.

> Temple has had four different players score goals, three of which are international. Marques Antoine, and Alex Marin have one tally. Nigel Griffith and Eijgendaal lead the squad with two scores each.
> Five players have one assist for the Owls.
> Griffith also leads the team in shots with eight.
 
SCOUTING PRINCETON
> Princeton is 4-4 on the year. They most recently defeated Dartmouth by a score of 3-2 (OT).
> Both sides faced Rutgers early in the season. The Tigers fell by a score of 1-0, while Temple tied 0-0.
> Malik Pinto is a rising star for Princeton. The midfielder is tied for the team lead with two goals. He was named Ivy League Player of the Week Monday after scoring the overtime game-winner against Dartmouth.  
> Jim Barlow leads the Tigers in his 25th season. Barlow has a record of 192-165-63 during his time with the Tigers. He has led Princeton to the NCAA tournament 11 times in his career, including a final four run in 2004 and an Elite Eight run in 2017. Barlow is the longest-tenured coach in the Ivy League.
 
SERIES HISTORY vs. PRINCETON
> The Owls and Tigers are meeting for only the 3rd time ever despite being located roughly 46 miles, or one hour apart.
> Temple is 1-1 against Princeton in the two times the squads have met.
> The two sides last met in 2018 at Princeton. The Tigers defeated Temple 2-1 in overtime to claimed the win.
