Football Travels for Final Road Game Against Tulsa

This Week
Temple travels to H.A. Chapman Stadium for its final road matchup of the season against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 4:00 ET. The contest will air on ESPN+ and 97.5 The Fanatic.

Last Week
Last week, Temple dropped its seventh game of the season, falling to the Houston Cougars, 37-8. The Owls trailed 10-0 going into halftime, playing through wet conditions throughout much of the first three quarters. A Temple touchdown early in the fourth quarter cut the deficit to two scores which gave the Owls hope for a comeback, but two Houston touchdowns shortly after put the game out of reach. DT Darian Varner recorded two sacks making it the first time that an Owl has done so since WIlliam Kwenkeu did so earlier this season against Akron.

Last Time vs. Tulsa
The last time Temple played Tulsa was in 2018, where the Owls opened American Athletic Conference play with a 31-17 win. RB Ryquell Armstead led the ground attack with 108 yards, his seventh career and third straight 100-yard rushing game. QB Anthony Russo made his second career start for the Owls, throwing for 112 yards, as well as running for a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, the Owls were Temple Tuff, as they forced five takeaways.

Last Time vs. Tulsa @ H.A. Chapman Stadium
The last time Temple and Tulsa faced off in Oklahoma was on Nov. 25 in the final week of the 2017 season. Temple clinched its bowl bid with a 43-22 win over the Golden Hurricane. The Owls offense piled on 43 points while amassing 451 yards. The Owls held Tulsa to 55 passing yards but gave up 314 yards on the ground. QB Frank Nutile threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns. RBs Ryquell Armstead and David Hood both scored rushing touchdowns.

Temple hosts the Navy Midshipmen for its final game of the 2021 season on Nov. 27 at 12:00pm. The Owls will celebrate Senior Day that game. The game is scheduled to air on ESPNU.
