Women's Basketball Continues Home Stretch Against Bucknell on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's basketball team continues its home stretch on Saturday, Nov. 20 against the Bucknell Bison at 2:00pm. The game is scheduled to air on ESPN+. Fans are required to wear masks unless actively eating or drinking.
THE OWLS
> The Owls enter the contest after falling to St. John's on Wednesday night by a score of 76-67.
> Both Mia Davis and Alexa Williamson picked up right where they left off last season. Through the first three games of the season, the two have combined for three double-doubles. Davis leads the team with 19.7 points per game while Williamson leads the team with 9.7 rebounds per game.
> Graduate transfer guard Jiselle Thomas scored a team-high 20 points in her Temple debut against Saint Francis (PA). She is averaging 12.3 points per game for the season.
> Last game, Davis led the team in points, assists, and rebounds making it the first time that an Owl has done so since Feb. 2020.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
> Bucknell has yet to play a home game this season, dropping its season opener against Ohio State before claiming a win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
> Bucknell's Taylor O'Brien leads the team in scoring with 17.5 points per game. O'Brien also leads the team in assists and steals per game.
> The Owls have four players that average more than 9.0 points per game.
LAST TIME THEY MET
> The last time that Temple played against the Bison, three Owls scored in double-figures.
> Mia Davis played in all 40 minutes for Temple, contributing 20 points on 66% shooting and 10 rebounds, recording a double-double.
> Ashley Jones led the team with 24 points on 56% field goal shooting.
> Lena Niang shot lights out from three-point land, hitting four trees on 67% shooting from behind the arc.
