12.10.21 | Men's Basketball

PHILADELPHIA - The most played Philadelphia Big 5 rivalry is back after a year's absence due to Covid as Temple travels to Saint Joseph's Saturday (1 pm/NBC Sports Philadelphia/ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT) for the 163rd meeting between the schools.  The Owls own a 93-69 lead in the series.

Temple (6-3) enters the game on a five-game win streak, the longest in third-year head coach Aaron McKie's tenure, and a 2-0 record in city-series play.   Saint Joseph's (5-4, 1-1 in Big 5) has won three of its last four games with the lone loss in the stretch coming at #6 Villanova, 82-51, and latest win being over Penn on Wednesday, 78-71.

> Under McKie, Temple is 4-2 in Philadelphia Big 5 play.  The Owls won their first two Big 5 games of the 2019-20 campaign before falling at Penn. Temple then lost to #15 Villanova in its final city-series play.  Temple did not play a Big 5 game last season due to the pandemic.
