Men’s Basketball Hosts UCF in AAC Opener Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA – Fresh off having its five-game win streak snapped at Saint Joseph's, Temple (6-4, 0-0 AAC) returns to the friendly confines of the Liacouras Center to host UCF (6-2, 0-0) Wednesday evening (7 pm/ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT).

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Damian Dunn leads the Owls in scoring (13.4 ppg), three-pointers made (9), steals (13) and free throw percentage (36-42, .857). Dunn has picked up his game since Khalif Battle (21.4 ppg) was sidelined for the season, averaging 19 points and 6.7 rebounds over the Owls last three games.
> Temple's sixth man, Tai Strickland, is next in scoring at 9.4 ppg, while leading the squad in three-point percentage (8-21, .381).
> Jeremiah Williams (9.2 ppg) runs the show offensively, leading the Owls in assists (4.5 apg, 5th AAC) and minutes per game (30.1 mpg).
> Jake Forrester (4.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg), Sage Tolbert III (3.3 ppg, 4.9 rpg) and Quincy Ademokoya (1.8 ppg) round out the starting five while Nick Jourdain (3.5 ppg), who tops the team in rebounding (5.5 rpg) and blocks (1.7 bpg, 3rd AAC), and Jahlil White (4.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg) come off the bench.

> Darin Green, Jr leads UCF and ranks eighth in the conference at 15.8 ppg. Green also tops the Knights and ranks second in the AAC in three-pointers made (25) and percentage (.425).
> As a team, UCF ranks fourth in the conference in three-pointers made (8.6 pg) and percentage (.359).
> Darius Perry is the only other Knight scoring in double figures (12.8 ppg) with C.J. Walker (9.6 ppg. 5.4 rpg) and Brandon Mahan (8.3 ppg) close behind.
> Mbacke Cheikh Doing (5.0 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.8 bpg) is the team's other starter.
