Davis Becomes All-Time Leader in Free Throws Despite Loss at UCF

ORLANDO — Senior Mia Davis became Temple's all-time leader in made free throws as the Owls suffered a 61-37 loss to UCF Saturday afternoon at Addition Financial Arena. Temple falls to 9-10 (9-7 AAC) while UCF improves to 13-2 (11-1 AAC).
How It Happened
> The Owls recorded a field goal percentage of 22.2 (12-54) for their worst mark of the season.
> Temple shot just 52.9% (9-17) from the foul line and 28.6% (4-14) from three-point range.
> UCF outrebounded the Owls 47-34, including 15 offensive boards that led to 20 second-chance points.
> The Knights ended the game shooting 39% from the floor, 33.3% from long range and 64.7% from the charity stripe.
> Temple's 37 points marks the lowest-scoring game for the Owls since Jan. 11, 2014 when they fell 80-36 at #1 UConn.

> Freshman Jasha Clinton led Temple with 10 points, followed by Davis with eight and junior Alexa Williamson with seven.

> The Owls were finally able to collect more than 10 points in a quarter when they notched 14 during the final frame.
> At 2:38, on the front end of a pair of good foul shots, Davis became Temple's all-time leader in made free throws. She ended the game with a career total of 404 to break Feyonda Fitzgerald's previous mark of 402.
> Senior Nicolette Mayo knocked down her first career three-pointer in the final minutes of the game.
