Clinton Tabbed AAC Freshman of the Week, Davis Earns Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Freshman guard Jasha Clinton has been Named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week while senior forward Mia Davis earned a spot on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.
This week's awards mark the second Freshman of the Week honor for Clinton and the fifth Weekly Honor Roll nod for Davis.

Clinton averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steals over a pair of wins for Temple. At Cincinnati, the rookie registered 18 points, a career-high eight rebounds, five assists and a steal. In the win over the Shockers, Clinton scored six points while handing out five assists and collecting two boards and a steal. The guard ended the week shooting 47.8% for the Owls.

Davis led the Owls to a two-win week as she averaged 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and one steal per game. The forward finished the week shooting 42.9% from the floor and was 1-for-1 from beyond the arc. Davis collected 17 points in both games this week while recording eight rebounds, two assists and two steals at Cincinnati and seven boards with an assist at Wichita State.Â
The Owls return to McGonigle Hall for the first time since Jan. 23 as they host Houston on Wednesday, Feb. 10 for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off.
