Women’s Basketball Hosts Memphis for Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball team returns to McGonigle Hall on Tuesday, Mar. 2 at 3:30 p.m. as they host Memphis in the first of a two-game series against the Tigers.
THE GAME
> Tuesday's matchup will be the Owls' Senior Day, where senior Nicolette Mayo and graduate student Jada Graves will be honored for their contributions to the Temple women's basketball program.
> It will be the first meeting between the two programs this season.
> The game will be aired on ESPN+.
THE OWLS
> Temple returns to McGonigle Hall with a record of 9-10 (9-7 AAC) as they rank fifth in the American Athletic Conference standings.
> Senior Mia Davis leads the Owls with 18.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
> On Saturday, Feb. 27, Davis became Temple's all-time leader in made free throws as she improved her career total to 404.
> Rookie Jasha Clinton is Temple's second-leading scorer with 13.2 points per game. The guard adds 3.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game for the Owls. Clinton leads Temple in both three-pointers and steals with 33 in each category.
> Junior Alexa Williamson is the third Owl averaging double-digits this season with 11.1 per game. The Houston, Pa. native adds 6.4 rebounds per game for Temple. Williamson leads the Owls and ranks second in the AAC with 1.4 blocks per game.
> Sophomore Asonah Alexander leads Temple with 4.7 assists per outing. The 5-10 guard is the third-leading rebounder for the Owls, pulling down 5.7 boards per night.
OWLS' LAST TIME OUT: UCF 61, Temple 37
> Temple suffered a 61-37 at UCF on Saturday, Feb. 27.
> The Owls recorded a field goal percentage of 22.2 (12-54) for their worst mark of the season.
> Temple shot just 52.9% (9-17) from the foul line and 28.6% (4-14) from three-point range.
> UCF outrebounded the Owls 47-34, including 15 offensive boards that led to 20 second-chance points.
