Field Hockey Faces Delaware in Sunday Road Test

PHILADELPHIA - After going 2-0 last weekend in the first two of a three-game non-conference tune-up, Temple field hockey will face Delaware on the road for a Sunday afternoon road test.
Scouting Temple
> The Owls are 4-5 on the season, going 2-0 last weekend after getting a chance for a tune-up with a pair of non-conference games.
> Temple topped Monmouth 2-1 for its second-straight overtime game and defeated head coach Susan Ciufo's alma mater Drexel 1-0.
> In the first RPI rankings of the season, the Cherry and White came in at No. 24. The team improved to No. 17 with its defeat of then-No. 16 Monmouth.
> Graduate student Veronika Novakova leads the team with two goals, scoring the game-winner in the season opener and the game-tying goal against ODU. Six other Owls have found the back of the cage this season.
> Novakova leads the team in shots with 15, while Claire Thomas ranks second with 12.

> Delaware is 1-1 on the season, dropping a 3-2 overtime decision in its season opener to Saint Joseph's and defeating Towson 4-0 in its CAA opener.
