No. 24/RV Lacrosse to Travel to Old Dominion for First Conference Road Matchups

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple lacrosse team will look to rebound at Old Dominion following a pair of losses to No. 11/11 Florida. The first game will start at 4 PM on Friday, the second will begin at 11 AM on Sunday. Both games will be broadcasted on Monarchs All-Access.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple lost both games they played last week against No. 11 Florida. Despite the losses, the Owls climbed one spot to No. 24 in the IWLCA coach's poll.
> Belle Mastropietro leads the team in goals with 19. She scored three goals and notched an assist over the weekend.
> Meghan Hoffman has led the team in assists all season, currently sitting at 17 through seven games. She is also ranked 2nd in the American Athletic Conference with 2.43 assists per game. The fifth-year also leads the team in points with 28.
> Courtney Taylor has been one of the best defenders in the country this season. She ranks third nationally in ground ball pickups per game (4.71). Taylor also ranks ninth in caused turnovers with 2.57. The senior leads the AAC in both categories.
 
LAST TIME OUT: FLORIDA 15 @ TEMPLE 9, & FLORIDA 14 @ TEMPLE 7
> Temple lost to No. 11 Florida 15-9 on Friday and 14-7 on Sunday.
> The Owls cut into the lead in the second half of both matches before the Gators pulled away.
> Bridget Whitaker impressed over the weekend with a team-leading six goals against the Gators. She set a new career-high Friday with five scores.
> Taylor set a new career-high on Friday with eight ground ball pick-ups.

SCOUTING OLD DOMINION
> This is Old Dominion's first season in the American after spending two seasons in the BIG EAST.
> The Monarchs are 3-6 on the season, with wins over Delaware State, Longwood, and a conference victory Sunday against ECU in overtime.
> Lilly Siskind has led the charge for ODU this season. She leads the team with 19 goals and has 8 assists. The West Chester native was named this week's Conference Attack Player of the Week.
> The Monarchs are coached by ODU lacrosse alumni Heather Holt. This is her  ninth season leading the program. During her tenure, Old Dominion has competed in four different lacrosse conferences and as an independent.

SERIES HISTORY
> Old Dominion and Temple are meeting for the 19th time in series history. Temple leads the Monarchs 11-7.
> The teams met every season from 1992-2007.
> The two squads last met in 2007, with ODU claiming victory 10-7.
