PHILADELPHIA - After falling 4-0 at Delaware last weekend in the final game of a three-game non-conference stretch, the Temple field hockey team will return to BIG EAST play with a pair of games against Providence on March 27 and 28.

Scouting Temple
> The Owls are 4-6 on the season, falling 4-0 at Delaware last weekend.
> Temple returns to BIG EAST play after two weeks and three games of non-conference play, going 2-1 with wins over Monmouth and Drexel.
> The team sits at No. 22 in the third RPI rankings of the season. In the first RPI rankings, the Cherry and White came in at No. 24. The team improved to No. 17 with its defeat of then-No. 16 Monmouth.
> Graduate student Veronika Novakova leads the team with two goals, scoring the game-winner in the season opener and the game-tying goal against ODU. Six other Owls have found the back of the cage this season.
> Novakova leads the team in shots with 16, while Claire Thomas ranks second with 12.

Scouting Providence
> Providence is 0-4 on the season, playing only in BIG EAST matches.
> The team's first series against Old Dominion this season was postponed, and the matchup at Northeastern set for March 21 was canceled.
> The Friars have scored just one goal this season, with Niamh Gowing scoring the game-tying goal in the 2-1 loss at Quinnipiac.
> Camryn Kelbaugh and Asia Porter have allowed 11 goals, with Kelbaugh posting 12 saves.
