Golf to Compete at Connecticut Cup

ELLINGTON, Conn. - Fresh off a sixth-place finish at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, Temple Golf stays on the road with a trip to the Connecticut Cup this weekend.  The Owls will compete in the 12-team field at the three-day event with one round each day starting Thursday at the Ellington Ridge Country Club.Â
Previewing the Tournament
>Â Junior Conor McGrath, who leads the Owls with a 74.0 stroke average, comes into the tournament following the best collegiate round of his career, a 67 on the final day at the Golden Horseshoe.
> Senior Dawson Anders, who had his best outing of the season this week at the Golden Horseshoe (+2, t-3rd), ranks second on the team at 74.4 strokes per round.
> Senior Peter Bradbeer is a close third, averaging 74.89 strokes per round on the season.
> Junior Buddy Hansen, who also carded his collegiate best round (72) at the Golden Horseshoe, ranks fourth on the squad (75.67) with sophomore Graham Chase (76.67) rounding out the Temple squad.
