Field Hockey Falls in Overtime Heartbreaker

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple field hockey team fell 2-1 to Villanova in overtime on Sunday afternoon, splitting the first two games against the Wildcats this season. With the loss, the Owls fall to 2-5 (1-5 BIG EAST) while the Wildcats improve to 1-5 (1-5 BIG EAST).
Recapping the Game
> Temple scored late in the first quarter, with freshman Cassie Romanczuk scoring her first career goal with an assist from Taylor Alba.
> Villanova evened the game coming out of halftime, scoring in the 35th minute.
> Neither team was able to score the go-ahead goal in regulation, forcing an overtime situation.
> The Wildcats scored less than two minutes into the first overtime period to win the game.
