Women's Rowing Sets Eyes on Kerr Cup this Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – After sweeping La Salle and George Mason in a series of races last weekend, Temple rowing is back in action this Saturday, Apr. 17 with their eyes set on the coveted Kerr Cup. Races will begin promptly at 10:20 a.m.
Last time out at the 2019 Kerr Cup, the Owls walked away with six total medals. Temple's second varsity four and third varsity eight "B" boat won gold, while the varsity eight, second varsity eight and third varsity eight "A" notched silvers. The varsity four completed the set of medals as they won a bronze to wrap up the competition.
This year's Kerr Cup will feature women's teams from Villanova, Penn, Jefferson, Drexel, Cabrini and Washington College.
Racing begins at 10:20 a.m., with the last race starting at 1:50 p.m. Getting the day started for the Owls will be the morning second varsity four at 10:20 a.m. The team is back on the water at 11 a.m. with the morning varsity eight, followed by a series of four boat races. The varsity four will start at 11:40 a.m., followed by the freshmen four at 11:50 a.m. and finishing with the second varsity four at 12 p.m.
After an hour break, Temple will finish the day with the afternoon second varsity eight at 1 p.m. and afternoon varsity eight at 1:50 p.m.
