2021 TUG Awards: Scholar-Athletes

The 2021 Scholar-Athlete award recipients are Lorianna Leynes and Jordyn Oster!
Two highly accomplished student-athletes, Leynes and Oster set examples for the rest of their teammates through their work in the classroom this season. Leynes is a Biology major preparing for the MCAT, with aspirations of becoming a doctor. Oster has consistently produced in the classroom and worked around her student teaching schedule to succeed both in the classroom and the competition floor. Both Leynes and Oster were All-EAGL Academic Team honorees this season, and each were named as members of Temple's Chi Alpha Sigma Student-Athlete Honor Society.
Lorianna Leynes
Both Lorianna and Jordyn are known on the team for taking their academics very seriously. They put academics first, as it should be! At the end of the day there is no professional gymnastics. They represent Temple well in the classroom and we are so proud of them.Josh Nilson, Head Coach
