Looking to Repeat
> Temple, which had not raced at the Dad Vail since the 2015 season due to conflicts with its conference championship, had three boats, the Second Varsity 8, the Second Varsity 4, and the Third Varsity 8 boats, win gold two years ago.
> In all, seven Temple boats made the grand finals, with the Varsity 8, Freshman 8, Varsity 4 and Pair also scoring points.
> Temple Women's Rowing also combined with its Men's Crew team to win the overall points. It marked the first women's points title and overall title since 1996.
> The Owls Varsity 8 is coming off a second place finish in the Kelly Cup this past weekend behind Penn and ahead of Drexel. The Second Varsity 8 also placed second with the Varsity 4 finishing third. Â
Quotable: Head Coach Rebecca Grzybowski
> "The Dad Vail Regatta will always be a special race for Temple but this year brings an extra bit of excitement, anticipation, energy and pride. Â Through every challenge of the past year the team stuck together and stayed committed to each other and to our process. Â
> I couldn't be more proud of the growth and progress that we have seen from them - specifically throughout this spring racing season. Â Every day they showed up prepared to get better and we are looking forward to putting it all on the water this Saturday. Â Go Owls!"

> The Owls will race in five events this weekend, fielding three eights (V8, 2V8, 3V8) a Varsity 4 and a single.Â
