Rowing Signs Eight Talented Recruits in 2021

6/17/2021

We are thrilled to welcome this talented group to Temple. In a year that was marked by some incredibly unique challenges - from racing to recruiting - this group demonstrated a resilience and perseverance that set them apart. I'm confident that they will add to our top-end speed and contribute to our team energy and work ethic from Day One. We can't wait to get them to Philadelphia this fall.
Head Coach Rebecca Grzybowski
Temple Rowing
In building this class I am especially grateful to Coach Julia Rorer for her commitment to our efforts throughout this COVID recruiting cycle. She developed creative ways for our prospective student-athletes and their families to learn about Temple and develop relationships with our team and our coaches, and ultimately helped us sign a class that will add significant speed and overall growth to our team.
Head Coach Rebecca Grzybowski
This is a fantastic class. With COVID, things were certainly a challenge when it came to recruiting, but it provided us the opportunity to get to know the athletes we're bringing in even better than before. We are really looking forward to this class joining us in August and helping the program continue to build and excel. They’re our fastest class yet and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the team!
Julia Rorer, Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator

After having phone calls with both Coach Julia and Coach Rebecca, I realized that Temple's team values were support, growth, and determination. I need a team like this in order to push me to my fullest potential. My friend Kendyll Petronick rows for Temple and helped me to decide that it was the place for me. When I visited Temple, I fell in love with campus, which persuaded me to apply.
