26 Named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team

NEW YORK - 26 Owls from the Temple field hockey team have been named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Tuesday. More than 3,000 student-athletes from the BIG EAST's 10 member schools and affiliate institutions earned the honor.Â
To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.
There are 3,075 honorees for the 2020-21 academic year. Affiliate student-athletes made up 175 of the honorees.
