Gawronski Named to AAC Honor Roll for Second Consecutive Week

9.13.21 | Men's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA- After Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to Villanova, redshirt freshman goalkeeper Eoin Gawronski was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for the week ending Sept. 13, marking the second consecutive week he has been honored.

The Limerick, PA native has now been honored by the American in three straight weeks. Gawronski turned in another strong performance against the Wildcats. The keeper made a season-high seven saves including a stunner in the 32nd minute. Gawronski turned away what looked to be a surefire goal off a Wildcat corner. The keeper laid out with lightning-quick reflexes to block a header that seemed destined for the back of the net. Gawronski turned away another goal only seconds later to preserve the 1-0 lead going into halftime.

Temple will face No. 1 Georgetown tomorrow night at the Temple Sports Complex at 7 p.m. Attendance is free to all spectators. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
