Men's Cross Country is Set to Race in the Paul Short Invitational

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple men's cross country team travels to Bethlehem, P.A. this Friday, Oct. 1st for the Paul Short Invitational. The race is held at Goodman Campus and will see the men's gold 8k race starting at 11:00 a.m.

- "We're excited to return to Lehigh this fall for an opportunity to preview the same course we'll be racing on for the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional Championships in November. The Paul Short Run consistently attracts many of the nation's best cross country programs and I know our teams are looking forward to this opportunity."
- Temple saw six runners finish in the top-10 placements at the Iona Meet of Champions.
- Senior Joe Arthur led the Owls with a third-place finish and a time of 25:26.6 minutes.
- Freshman Jeppe Risvig and Liem Chot finished with times of 25:45.0 and 25:47.4 minutes that placed them fourth and sixth in the race, respectively.
- Rounding out the top-10 were Christian Fitch, Tyler Fauvelle, and Erik Kain who posted times of 26:03.8, 26:03.9, and 26:06.5 minutes.
- Lehigh University hosts the Paul Short Run in honor of long-time Lehigh cross country fan and Lehigh Athletics Hall-of-Famer, Paul Short.
- The first Paul Short meet was in 1969, hosting just male athletes. Today, the event has grown tremendously, featuring six college races, six high school races, and two open meets for men and women.
