Men’s Tennis Reveals 2022 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – After a premature end to both the 2020 and 2021 season due to COVID-19 protocols, head coach Steve Mauro announced the teams schedule for a highly anticipated return to action. The team welcomes a 22-match season beginning on Jan. 16.
The Owls will start the season off on the road, traveling first to Princeton on Jan. 16 for the 2022 opener, before taking on Penn on Jan. 26 and Yale on Jan. 29.
The Cherry and White will return home for a four game homestand that will carry them into the month of March. The Owls will welcome Saint Francis on Feb. 4 for the 2022 home opener, followed by Siena on Feb. 25, Monmouth on Feb. 26, and Farleigh Dickinson University (FDU) on Mar. 8.
Temple will then take to the road again, playing back-to-back matches at Navy (Mar. 12) and William & Mary (Mar. 13). After a weekend full of action, the Cherry and White will then take a five day hiatus, returning home on Mar. 17 to host Delaware, followed by Fordham on Mar. 20.
Just about a week later, the men will head to Old Dominion (Mar. 26) and Norfolk State (Mar. 27), before making a quick trip back home to host Morgan State (Mar. 30).
The Owls will bounce back into action just two days later, traveling to Dallas, Tx. for a three-match trip against American Athletic Conference opponents. The Owls will first take on the host school, SMU on Apr. 1, followed by Memphis on Apr. 2 and Wichita State on Apr. 3.
After a long month of traveling, the Owls will return to Philadelphia for a four game homestand, before hitting the road one last time to close out regular season play.
The homestand will start with city rival, Drexel (Apr. 8), followed by Hofstra (Apr. 9), GMU (Apr. 10), and Saint John's (Apr. 13).
To close out regular season play, the Owls will travel to Oklahoma, matching up against conference opponent, Tulsa on Apr. 17 for the final match of the regular season.
The American Athletic Conference Tournament will be hosted just four days later by Tulsa and will run from Apr. 21-24.
