Golf Returns to Action at Ironwood Collegiate Classic

Greenville, N.C. – Temple Golf returns to action on October 3 when the Owls travel to North Carolina to 2022 Ironwood Collegiate Classic, hosted by American Athletic Conference member East Carolina. The two-day, 54-hole event will be held at Ironwood Golf and Country Club.
First round action is set to begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Monday, while Tuesday's round begins at 8 a.m. from the first and 10th tees.
Previewing the Owls
> Temple is coming off a win at the Cornell/Temple Fall Invite with sophomore Ethan Whitney recording his first collegiate victory.
> Whitney leads the Owls with a 69.6 stroke average and his been at even or below par in four of his five rounds this season.
> Co-captains Conor McGrath and Graham Chase are next for the Cherry and White. McGrath, a two-time PING all-Region honoree, is off to another superb start with a 70.4 stroke average with Chase just behind him at 71.4 strokes per round.
> Rounding out the team's starting five for this tournament is Joey Morganti (74.6) and Andrew Curran (73.2).
> Playing as individuals are Andres Aranguren (74.0) and Darren Nolan (75.0).

> Joining Temple and East Carolina in the 12-team event are Barton College, Delaware, Gardner Webb, Longwood, NC Central, NC A&T, Queens, UMES, William & Mary and Winthrop.
