Golf to Finish Fall Season at Visit Stockton Invitational

Stockton, Calif. – Temple Golf closes out its 2022 Fall Season this week by traveling to the West Coast to take part in the 16-team Visit Stockton Invitational hosted by the University of the Pacific. The tournament will be a three-day, 54-hole event starting on Thursday, October 20 at the 6,566-yard, par-71 Stockton Golf and Country Club.
Previewing the Team
> Graham Chase has been red hot for the Owls, posting consecutive Top 10 finishes for his best week as an Owl. He boasts a 71.07 stroke average, second on the team, and has been at or under par in six straight rounds, including a career-best 65 in the second round of the Phoenix Invitational.
> Conor McGrath, who had a rare off tournament at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate (t-28th,+5, 221), continues to pace the Owls with a 70,93 stroke average. Like Chase, he has three Top 10 finishes and nine rounds at or below par.
> Ethan Whitney is also having a strong season, averaging 71.86 strokes per round. He won the Cornell/Temple Fall Open and has posted four rounds in the 60s this fall.
> Andrew Curran and Joey Morganti will play in the four-five slots for the Owls. Curran has competed in all 14 rounds so far this season, averaging 74.71 strokes per round while Morganti has compiled a 76.00 strokes per round average over 11 rounds.

> Besides Temple and host Pacific, the 16-team field includes CSU-Fullerton, CSU-Northridge, Fresno State, George Washington, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Sacramento State, San Jose State, UC-Irvine, UC-Riverside, UC-San Diego, UC-Santa Barbara, Utah Tech and Washington State.
> Washington State won the 2021 Visit Stockton Invitational with the Cougars' Max Sekulic returning to defend his title.
