Wei and Uchijima Headline Owls Efforts at ITA Northeast Regional Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. – Temple women's tennis sent four student-athletes to compete in the ITA Northeast Regional Championship held at Princeton University this past weekend in Sena Takebe, Veronika Kulhava, Jamie Wei and Maiko Uchijima. Each student-athlete competed in singles play with Wei and Uchijima pairing up for doubles competition as well as Kulhava and Takebe.
The weekend was highlighted by a standout doubles performance from Wei and Uchijima, who advanced to the quarterfinals, earning a bid to the prestigious ITA Super Regional Tournament. Of the 64 pairs who began the tournament on Friday, Wei and Uchijima were one of four pairs left standing at the conclusion of the weekend.
