PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team (4-8-2, 1-6-0 AAC) fell to No. 22/9 Tulsa (8-2-2, 4-2-1 AAC) on Saturday night. Temple put forth an inspiring effort, the Owls battled through two ties and two lead changes to stay in the match the entire game against one of the best men's soccer teams in Division I.

How it Happened

> Temple keeper Eoin Gawronski made two bottom half saves in the 16th and 21st minutes to stop the first two shots on goal.
> Owls' defender Fridtjof Andberg had a strong header chance in 27th minute that beat the keeper, but rang off the crossbar.
> Tulsa found the back of the net in 39th minute, but the Owls were quick to counter. Sawyer Koza found Chaim Roserie on the left wing. Roserie beat his defender to the goal line and found Medill for a contested header. The freshman's timing was superior and headed the ball into the goal to tie the match at 1 heading into halftime.
> Tulsa scored right out of the gate in the second frame to go up 2-1.
> The Cherry and White scored their second goal of the match in the 76th minute. Draven Barnett launched a ball deep into the offensive zone where he found Rocco Haufglockner. The German national maneuvered to the top of the box where he laid out a perfect pass to forward Yann Kouemi. Kouemi beat the goalkeeper with a move and laid the ball up for the easy score to tie the match.
> In the 83rd minute, Temple was called for a foul in the box resulted in a penalty kick. The Golden Hurricane capitalized to go up 3-2.
> Temple did not score again. The Owls fell by a score of 3-2.
